CLERK OF COURT'S HOURS OF OPERATION:

8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday
(Closed from noon - 1 p.m.*)
*FINES MAY BE PAID DURING THE LUNCH HOUR USING PAYMENT ENVELOPES AVAILABLE IN COURT LOBBY.

ARRAIGNMENT HOURS:

Tuesday

10 a.m.-Noon 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m.
Wednesday 10 a.m.-Noon 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m.
Thursday 10 a.m.-Noon 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Monday & Friday Reserved for Trials*

*Judge is not in the office unless a trial is scheduled.

MANAGEMENT OBJECTIVES

Short-term

  • Coordinate transition of Arraignment Schedule between City Judge, clerks of Court, and police officers

  • Develop policies & procedures for Deferred Prosecution Agreements and Deferred Imposition of Sentences

  • Clearly establish & enforce fine collection system

 Intermediate-term

  • Manage and close files on a timely basis

  • Improve compliance with MIP, ACT, Smart Recovery, and Community Service

  • Improve performance against uncollected fines

Long-term

  • Strive to streamline communications with MCPD through adaptive changes to both environments over time.

  • Effectively manage the courtroom for smoother operations through arraignment and trial.

  • Continue to inform all Defendants of the fundamentals of due process and advise same of available legal resources.
