The City of Miles City wants you to be aware
of the upcoming Community Outreach Meetings being sponsored by the
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State of Montana Department
of Natural Resources and Conservation Community (DNRC).
The Community Outreach Meetings provide
opportunities for citizens and service providers in
Miles
City,
Custer
County and other areas to
learn more about changes to the local floodplain maps and the effects those
changes will have at the individual and community level. There will also be
opportunities for YOU to ask questions, provide input, and express your thoughts
and concerns about these issues.
THURSDAY, November 13th: The Community Outreach Meetings will
kick off with a
Miles
City - City Council meeting at 7:00
p.m. in Room 106 at
Miles
Community College. FEMA
staff will provide an overview of the Preliminary Draft Flood Insurance Rate Map
and the Miles City Risk Analysis Study.

This day is focused on providing insurance agents, real estate agents, bankers
and mortgage officers, contractors and construction foremen, artchitects,
engineers and planners with the information and resources they will need to
provide top-notch service, advice and products to their customers. Registration

at MCC Room 106 and at the Miles City BLM Office Conference Room. ALL SESSIONS
ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
